Hiroaming eSIM Data Plans for Hong Kong

Hiroaming does not provide an unlimited data eSIM plan for Hong Kong. The available offerings are fixed‑data plans with set data caps and validity periods. For example, travelers can purchase a 50GB plan valid for 30 days or a 50GB plan valid for 180 days, both of which allow tethering. Another option is a 20GB plan valid for 30 days, which is also available. Choosing a fixed‑data plan can be more cost‑effective for most users, unless they are extremely heavy data consumers.

Hiroaming offers only a data‑only eSIM for Hong Kong, and none of the plans include a local phone number or SMS capability. Travelers looking to receive calls or text messages will need to rely on Internet‑based solutions.

Because no voice or SMS service is provided, many users install VoIP apps such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage to communicate. These services typically work over the data connection, but travelers should check that the apps they depend on are not blocked or restricted in Hong Kong before purchasing a plan.

Hiroaming offers 16 single‑country plans and 28 multi‑country plans for users in Hong Kong. The plans vary widely in price, ranging from about $0.55 to $164.11 USD, while the data caps span from 100 MB to 50 GB. Some plans are fixed data bundles, whereas others may allow daily data consumption until the allocated amount is exhausted. Tethering is permitted on selected plans, but speeds may be reduced to 1000 kbps in certain cases.
