SimBalkan eSIM Data Plans for Iceland

SimBalkan does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Iceland. All plans that carry an “Unlimited” name actually allow a fixed amount of high‑speed data—1GB for the 1‑day plan and 1GB per day for the longer “Unlimited” plans—after which the connection speed is reduced.

Instead, SimBalkan offers several fixed‑data options for Iceland that deliver larger high‑speed allowances. For example, there is a 50GB plan valid for 30 days at 5G, a 30GB plan also valid for 30 days, and a 20GB plan for 30 days, all available at 5G speed. These fixed data plans can be more cost‑effective for most travelers compared to the limited‑cap “Unlimited” plans.

SimBalkan does not offer Iceland eSIM plans that include a phone number or SMS capability. Customers can only purchase data‑only eSIMs for Iceland from this provider. Travelers who need to make calls or send messages can normally use popular VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection, but they should verify that these apps are accessible in Iceland before purchasing, as some destinations may block or restrict certain services.

SimBalkan offers 16 single‑country data plans and 6 multi‑country plans that can be used in Iceland. The single‑country plans typically provide a fixed data amount ranging from 1 GB to 50 GB with validity periods between 1 and 30 days, covering all of the country’s network coverage. The multi‑country plans allow roaming across several European destinations, with similar data ranges and validity periods but expand the coverage beyond Iceland. Prices for these options vary between $3.33 and $40.06, offering customers choices that balance data allowance, validity length, and cost.
