MicroEsim eSIM Data Plans for Iraq

MicroEsim does not offer a true unlimited data eSIM for Iraq. All of its available plans list a hard data cap, with the largest being 20GB for either 30‑day or 60‑day validity periods. After the allocated data is used, the connection remains active but at a reduced speed of 128kbps, as noted by the provider. Travelers who require a larger high‑speed data allowance can choose from MicroEsim’s fixed‑data plans, such as the 20GB 30‑day or 10GB 30‑day options, which may be more cost‑effective for heavier data usage.

MicroEsim does not provide an Iraq eSIM that includes a phone number or SMS capability. Travelers can only purchase data‑only eSIMs from this provider for use in Iraq. For voice and messaging, users can rely on popular VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage over the data connection, although access to these services is not guaranteed and may be restricted in certain destinations. It is advised to verify that the apps they need to use are available in Iraq before buying a plan.

MicroEsim currently offers eleven data plans with coverage for Iraq, all of which include multiple countries. These plans range in price from approximately $5.20 to $88.78 and offer data allowances between 500MB and 20GB. Some plans provide a fixed data amount, while others offer a daily data cap. It’s worth noting that tethering is allowed on some plans, and speeds may be reduced after a certain data usage threshold. There are no single-country plans specifically for Iraq available from this provider.
