AirPlans eSIM Data Plans for Puerto Rico

AirPlans does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Puerto Rico. All available plans list a specific data cap and, where a plan name contains the word “Unlimited, ” the plan actually allows 1GB of high‑speed data per day and then slows the speed to 512 kbps after the daily limit is reached.

Travelers who need more data can choose from a range of fixed data plans. For example, a 20GB plan valid for 30 days or a 10GB plan for 30 days are offered, giving travelers a larger high‑speed allowance within the validity period and often at a lower unit cost than the day‑by‑day options. These fixed plans can be more cost‑effective unless a user anticipates very heavy data use.

AirPlans does not provide a Puerto Rico eSIM that includes a local phone number or the ability to send or receive SMS. Travelers can only purchase data‑only eSIMs from AirPlans for Puerto Rico. If a phone number or traditional SMS service is required, they would need to use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection. However, availability of these apps can vary by destination, so users should verify that their preferred services work in Puerto Rico before buying a plan.

AirPlans offers 13 single‑country plans and 1 multi‑country plan for Puerto Rico. The available plans range in price from about $5.01 to $82.50 and provide data caps between 1 GB and 20 GB. Among the plans, some are fixed‑data packages (8 plans) that give a set amount of data for the entire validity period, while others are daily‑data‑cap plans (6 plans) that limit the amount of data you can use each day.
