Always Mobile eSIM Data Plans for Puerto Rico

Always Mobile does not provide an unlimited data eSIM for Puerto Rio. The only plans that cover Puerto Rio are fixed data plans that give 20 GB or 10 GB of high‑speed data that must be used within 30 days or 90 days, such as the Global (120 + areas) 20GB 30Days or 20GB 90Days options.

Choosing one of these fixed data plans can be more cost–effective unless a traveler needs a very heavy data allowance. Each plan is tied to a specific validity period, so the data must be spent before it expires, whereas a Pay‑as‑you‑go plan would allow a user to purchase credit and use it as long as they maintain a balance.

Always Mobile does not offer an eSIM plan that includes a phone number or SMS capability for Puerto Rico. Travelers can purchase a data‑only plan from the provider and use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection for calls and messaging. However, some destinations may block or restrict access to specific VoIP services, so it is advisable for travelers to verify that the apps they rely on remain available in Puerto Rico before finalising a purchase.

Always Mobile provides 3 single‑country data plans and 22 multi‑country data plans for Puerto Rico. Single‑country plans give a fixed data amount for a set validity, while multi‑country plans allow the same data to be used in several countries during the validity period. The plans generally range from $4.25 to $111.75, and the data caps vary from 1 GB to 20 GB, with many plans permitting tethering.
