Simsima eSIM Data Plans for Puerto Rico

Simsima does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Puerto Rico. Although several plans carry the word “Unlimited” in their names, the data cap column shows that each of those plans allows only 3 GB of high‑speed data per day; after that limit the speed drops to 1 Mbps.

Instead, Simsima offers fixed data plans that can suit most travelers. For example, a 20 GB plan valid for 30 days costs about $33 USD, and the same 20 GB package is also available for 365 days at a slightly higher price. A 10 GB plan with a 30‑day validity is available for around $24 USD. These fixed‑data options give a larger total data allowance and can be more economical, while avoiding the speed throttling that occurs on the “Unlimited”‑labelled plans.

Simsima does not provide Puerto Rico eSIM plans that include a phone number or SMS capability. The available plans from the provider are data‑only. Travelers who need to stay connected for calls and messages can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection, but some destinations may block or restrict access to specific apps or VoIP services. It is advisable to confirm that the applications a traveler relies on are accessible in Puerto Rico before purchasing a plan.

Simsima offers 9 single‑country plans and 12 multi‑country plans for Puerto Rico. The single‑country options provide a fixed data amount for the entire validity period, while the multi‑country plans include daily data caps that limit the amount of data usable each day. In total, 5 plans are daily data cap plans and 16 are fixed data cap plans. Prices range from about $4.20 to $98.89, and data caps vary from 1 GB to 20 GB.
