MTX Connect eSIM Data Plans for Balkans countries

MTX Connect does not provide an unlimited data eSIM plan for travelers in the Balkans. The available plans are fixed data packages, such as a 10 GB package valid for 30 days, a 4 GB package valid for 14 days, and a 2 GB package valid for 7 days. These alternatives cover Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia, plus more than 130 additional countries. Choosing a fixed‑data plan can be more cost effective for most users, unless a traveler requires a truly unlimited data allowance.

MTX Connect does not provide a Balkans eSIM that includes a local phone number or SMS capability. All of the plans available from MTX Connect for travel in the Balkans are data‑only, so users do not receive an assigned phone number and cannot use standard SMS. For voice and text communications travelers can rely on popular VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage, which work over the data connection without the need for a separate phone number or SMS service.

MTX Connect’s offer in the Balkans is delivered through its OPTIMAL DAILY plan, which provides coverage in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia. The same plan also extends service to many other regions, but for the Balkans those six countries are the only ones included.
