Airalo eSIM Data Plans for Latin America (LATAM)

Airalo does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Latin America (LATAM). The plans listed under “Latamlink – Unlimited” give 3 GB/day for a validity of 3 to 10 days; once the 3 GB threshold is reached the speed is reduced to 1000 kbps, so the data allowance is capped.

Instead, Airalo offers fixed‑data plans that can be more economical for most travelers. For example, a 20 GB plan is available for 15 days at $56.00 USD or for 30 days at $59.00 USD, and another 20 GB option runs for a full year at $66.00 USD. These plans provide a larger data allocation without the daily cap, though they are not unlimited.

Airalo does not provide Latin America (LATAM) eSIM plans that include a phone number or SMS capability. All LATAM eSIMs sold through Airalo are data‑only and can only be used for internet access.

For travelers who need to communicate, popular VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage work over the data connection and allow calls and messaging without a local phone number or SMS service.

Airalo’s Latin‑American offerings appear on three of its plans. Latamlink–covers Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Paraguay, El Salvador, Uruguay, and Venezuela. Discover and Discover+ feature the same Latin‑American lineup and add the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and the French overseas territory of Guadeloupe; both of these plans also provide coverage outside of Latin America, extending service to other continents and regions worldwide.
