Saily eSIM Data Plans for Romania

Saily does not provide a truly unlimited high‑speed data eSIM for Romania. The plans that use the word “UNLIMITED” in their names actually grant a fixed amount of data—such as 5 GB per day or 30 GB for 30 days—and after that amount the connection speed is throttled.

If you need a large data allowance, you can consider Saily’s fixed‑data plans for Romania or Europe. For example, the “Global UNLIMITED 30 days” plan gives 30 GB for 30 days, and the “Romania 20GB 30 days” plan offers 20 GB within the same period. These fixed plans can be more cost‑effective and provide a predictable high‑speed experience during your stay.

Saily does not provide an eSIM plan with a phone number or SMS capability for Romania, only data‑only eSIMs are available. Travelers who need to place calls or send text messages will need to rely on internet‑based services.

You can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection for calling and messaging, but this is not guaranteed for all destinations; some places may block or restrict certain apps or services. It is advisable to confirm that the apps you rely on work in Romania before purchasing a data‑only eSIM.

In Romania, Saily provides 11 single‑country plans that cover only Romania and 22 multi‑country plans that include Romania. The available plans span a price range from roughly $3.99 up to $159.99 and offer data caps between 1 GB and 50 GB. Within this selection, 12 plans apply a daily data cap while 21 plans offer a fixed data allowance for the entire validity period.
