10gb sim used across Europe. Worked great for 10 days, then suddenly the speed just dropped to 40kbps despite still showing 5G.
Customer service non-existant. No response to live chat or useful info online so had to buy another sim from jetpac.
Unlimited tariff downloading speed is extreemly low! description say speed 4G/5G without trottling but after 30 gigabites i have only 1,72 mbits/s
support answer - that its norm speed ! you cnt download nothing with that! its waste of money and time(((
Airhub is a scam! DO NOT use it! It does not work at all in Belgium. I couldn't get the signal at all!
Totally not recommended!
I fell victim to a scam by Global Yo in October 2024, came here warn others not to make the same mistake. They market the data as "limitless".But it's only 1GB a day that has a decent speed after that drops to about 0.15 Mb/S. Look for the little 'i' when reading the brochure.
Thanks esimdb for recommending it to me!
Pretty good experience overall, the internet breakouts mentioned in their data plan are accurate. One issue I encountered was when switching between network it takes a minutes to few minutes to get a connection back.
There are more than 100 eSIM brands and over 5,200 prepaid data plans available for Belgium, giving travelers a wide variety of options to suit their individual needs.
Yes, there are unlimited data eSIM plans for Belgium that travelers can choose from. The available options come through providers such as Firsty, Airhub, Roamify, Billion Connect, Yoho Mobile, abesteSIM, MicroEsim, Truely and Yesim, all of which advertise unlimited data. While every plan gives unlimited data usage, most include throttling and a few specify speed limits – for example, Firsty caps the speed at 256 kbps, Yoho Mobile and abesteSIM set it to about 5 Mbps, and the rest typically throttle after initial bursts. No provider offers genuinely unrestricted speed, so users can expect reduced speeds after moderate usage. Prices for the unlimited bundles range from a free starter pass via Firsty to about $36.92 for the highest‑tier packages, with the majority of plans falling between $2 and $35 USD. Travelers should estimate their data needs based on the Internet activities anticipated during the trip and choose a plan that provides sufficient validity and data allowance to cover those activities comfortably.
Proximus: "Belgium's largest telecommunications company, offering extensive mobile coverage and services."
Orange Belgium: "A major operator providing comprehensive mobile services and coverage across the country."
BASE: "A significant mobile network operator known for its competitive services and nationwide coverage."
In addition to these major Mobile Network Operators (MNOs), Belgium hosts several Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs). MVNOs offer mobile services by leasing access from major carriers. Notable local MVNOs include Mobile Vikings and Telenet. However, it's important to note that most travel eSIMs rely on MNO infrastructure, not MVNOs.
