I bought 14 300GB eSIMs for Europe and they all stopped working when they reached 35GB. I filed a complaint with AirHub and they told me they didn't actually provide 300GB and only offered 35GB. I asked for a refund and they never gave it to me. That company is a scam. Stay away if you don't want to be scammed.
AIRHUB is a SCAM. They are thieves who steal your money and give you eSIMs with less GB than they offer.
10gb sim used across Europe. Worked great for 10 days, then suddenly the speed just dropped to 40kbps despite still showing 5G.
Customer service non-existant. No response to live chat or useful info online so had to buy another sim from jetpac.
This is scam. I paid but I could not recieve the esim. Never use this company
When the eSIM was connected with a supported network, it was great.
Unfortunately, the Maya eSIM wasn't smart enough to only choose supported networks. More often than not, it would choose a network that *wasn't* supported, meaning I'd have 5-bars of service but no data.
Maya support was helpful to point out that I could set my iPhone to "manual" and then choose a supported network, but that was a freakin' nightmare. We were choosing new networks multiple times per day.
Bad experience.
Speeds are 32Mb download and 3Mb upload. Impressive even if not stellar fast. Yes I would recommend Airalo. First attempt using an ESIM in Europe. Far more convenient given the limited option available when we arrived in Venice on route to Austria.
Perfect, reliable and flawless experience in all countries with good 4G speeds (15-25mbps)!
I used the „pay as you go“ plan!
Easy to choose and switch via the app.
Refill/prepay is also done via the app! The only minor catch, minimum refill amount is 10€ and it‘s 10€ steps from here (10,20,30...)
Overall really good experience!!
Austria offers roughly 100 travel eSIM providers and more than 5,100 prepaid data plans, giving travelers a wide variety of options to choose from.
Several eSIM providers offer unlimited data plans for visits to Austria. Firsty, Yoho Mobile, Airhub, Billion Connect, Roamify, abesteSIM, MicroEsim, Truely, and Yesim all list unlimited data options. The price spectrum ranges from a free 1‑day plan from Firsty to a $26.90 USD plan from Yoho Mobile that covers up to 10 days. All of the unlimited offerings may be subject to speed throttling; some specify a hard speed limit, such as Firsty’s 256 kbps cap on its 1‑day plan and the 5 Mbps limits mentioned for several providers. While other plans do not list a hard limit, customers should be aware that speeds can be reduced during heavy usage periods. Travelers should choose a plan that matches the desired duration of stay and keep in mind that actual data speeds may vary according to network conditions and provider policies.
A1 Telekom Austria: The largest mobile operator in Austria, offering extensive 2G, 3G, 4G/LTE, and 5G coverage.
Magenta Telekom: A subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom, providing comprehensive 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G services.
Drei (Three Austria): Owned by CK Hutchison Holdings, offering 2G, 3G, 4G/LTE, and expanding 5G services.
In addition to these major Mobile Network Operators (MNOs), Austria has several Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs) that offer mobile services by leasing access from the major carriers. Notable local MVNOs include HoT Hofer Telekom and Spusu. However, most travel eSIMs rely on the infrastructure of the primary MNOs rather than MVNOs.
