Ovosim does not provide a plan that offers truly unlimited high‑speed data for use in China. All plans that contain “Unlimited” in their name have a specific data cap, such as 15 GB, 25 GB, up to 150 GB for longer validity periods. After the allotted data is consumed, the speed is reduced, but the plans are still capped. Travelers who need more data can choose a fixed‑data option; for example, the China Unlimited MAX 30 Days plan gives 150 GB for 31 days, or the China Unlimited STANDARD 30 Days plan provides 90 GB for the same period. Fixed‑data plans can be a more cost‑effective choice unless a user requires high‑speed data well beyond the provided limits.

Ovosim does not provide China eSIM plans that include a phone number or SMS capability. Only data‑only eSIMs are available. Travelers can still make and receive calls and send messages by using VoIP services such as WhatsApp, Telegram and iMessage over the data connection.
