Globie eSIM Data Plans for Costa Rica

Globie does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Costa Rica. All of the plans that carry the label “Unlimited” are in fact capped at 1 GB per validity period, after which the speed is reduced to 512 kbps. The data limits are expressed as 1 GB per day for the 3‑, 7‑, and 30‑day plans and 1 GB total for the 1‑day plan.

Travelers who need higher data volumes can choose from fixed‑data plans instead. For example, Globie offers a 20 GB plan for 30 days at $53.49 USD and a 10 GB plan for 30 days at $29.99 USD. These options provide larger allowances and are available only in Costa Rica, and they represent a small selection of the full range of plans offered by the provider.

Globie does not provide an eSIM with a phone number or SMS capability for Costa Rica. The provider’s Costa Rica plans are data‑only.

Travelers can still use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage over the data connection to make calls and send messages without needing an SMS service.
