Saily eSIM Data Plans for Costa Rica

Saily does not provide a true unlimited data eSIM for Costa Rica. All the plans listed for the country have a fixed data allowance—20 GB or 30 GB—valid for a specified number of days, and the “UNLIMITED” names are only a marketing label. After the data cap is reached, the speed is throttled (for example, 1000 kbps or 1 kbps). For travelers who need more data without throttling, Saily offers fixed data plans such as the 30 GB plan valid for 90 days or the 20 GB plan valid for 30 days, which may be more cost‑effective for heavy data users.

Saily does not provide a Costa Rica eSIM that includes a phone number or SMS capability. Only data‑only plans are available from this provider for Costa Rica.

Travelers can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage over the data connection for calls and messaging. However, some destinations may block or restrict access to specific apps or VoIP services, so it is advisable to verify that the apps you rely on are accessible in Costa Rica before purchasing a plan.

Saily offers five single‑country plans and fifteen multi‑country plans for Costa Rica, with prices ranging from $7.99 to $159.99 and data caps between 1 GB and 30 GB. The plans vary in validity from 7 to 365 days; some of the options employ a fixed data amount, while others apply a daily data cap, allowing travelers to choose the format that best suits their usage.
