SIMzip eSIM Data Plans for Costa Rica

SIMzip does not provide an unlimited data eSIM for Costa Rica. Travelers who need larger data allowances can choose from a selection of fixed‑data plans. For example, a 20 GB plan for 30 days is available for $198.00 USD, and a 10 GB plan for 15 days is priced at $105.00 USD.

Choosing a fixed‑data plan is typically more economical unless a user is an extremely heavy data consumer. These plans allow tethering, work on 4G and 5G networks, and cover the entire country.

SIMzip does not provide eSIM plans for Costa Rica that include a local phone number or SMS capability. All available Costa Rica eSIMs from SIMzip are data‑only, which means that traditional voice calls and SMS messages cannot be sent or received directly. Travelers can still use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram or iMessage over the data connection for calls and messaging.

SIMzip currently offers six single-coverage data plans specifically for Costa Rica. These plans range in price from $24.00 to $198.00 and include data allowances from 1GB to 20GB. Plans also vary in validity, offering coverage for between 5 and 30 days. SIMzip does not currently offer any multi-country plans that include Costa Rica.
