Lumbus eSIM Data Plans for Dominican Republic

Lumbus does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for the Dominican Republic. The plans that carry the word “Unlimited” in their name actually grant 3GB of high‑speed data each day, after which the network speed is reduced to 1000kbps. There is no plan in Lumbus’s catalogue that offers data without a hard cap.

Travelers who need larger amounts of data can choose from fixed‑data plans such as a 20GB package for 30 days or a 10GB package for 30 days, both of which allow tethering and keep full speed for the entire validity period. These fixed‑data options are the alternatives when an unlimited plan is not available.

Lumbus does not offer any eSIM plan for the Dominican Republic that includes a phone number or SMS capability. The provider sells only data‑only eSIMs for that destination.

Travelers looking to communicate can rely on VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage, which can be used over the data connection. However, it is advisable to confirm that the specific apps you plan to use are accessible in the Dominican Republic, as some services may be blocked or restricted locally.

Lumbus provides nine single‑country eSIM data plans and six multi‑country plans for the Dominican Republic. The plans range in price from about $6.99 to $147.99 and offer data caps between 1 GB and 20 GB. Within this range some plans have a fixed data amount for the entire validity period, while others impose a daily data cap that limits usage each day but keeps the overall data allowance the same.
