Nimbus eSIM Data Plans for Dominican Republic

Nimbus does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for the Dominican Republic. The plans that carry “Unlimited” in their name actually offer 15GB of high‑speed data per day (or 15GB total for the 1‑day plan) and stop data communication once that limit is reached.

Travelers who need more data can choose Nimbus’s fixed data plans, such as the 50GB/30 days, 40GB/15 days, 40GB/30 days, 30GB/7 days, or 30GB/15 days options. These plans give a larger hard data allowance and, after the limit is exceeded, reduce speed to 512 kbps (and further to 64 kbps after an additional 500 MB). These fixed data plans are typically more cost‑effective for most users unless extremely heavy data consumption is expected.

Nimbus does not provide an eSIM plan for the Dominican Republic that includes a local phone number or SMS capability. The available option is a data‑only eSIM. Travelers who need messaging or calling can use VoIP services such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection, but they should verify that these apps are accessible in the Dominican Republic before purchasing.

Nimbus provides 30 single‑country data plans for the Dominican Republic and 6 multi‑country plans that include the country. The plans cover a price range from $4.49 to $377.99 and data caps from 1 GB to 50 GB. Some plans offer a fixed data amount for the entire validity period, while others impose a daily data cap, limiting the amount of data that can be used each day. This gives customers flexibility depending on their usage patterns.
