Zwitchy eSIM Data Plans for Dominican Republic

Zwitchy does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for the Dominican Republic. The plans labeled “Unlimited – X days” give 1GB of high‑speed data per day and slow the speed to 1000 kbps after that amount is used. Travelers who need more data without speed throttling can choose fixed data plans such as the 20 GB plan valid for 30 days, which is available at $109.00 USD. These fixed‑data options offer larger amounts of high‑speed data and may be more cost‑effective for heavy users.

Zwitchy does not offer an eSIM plan for the Dominican Republic that includes a local phone number or SMS capability. All plans sold by Zwitchy for that destination are data‑only, meaning you can connect to the internet but not receive or make traditional voice calls or SMS messages with a local number.

You can still use VoIP services such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage over the data connection for voice calls and messaging, but some destinations may block or restrict certain apps. Travellers should verify that these services work in the Dominican Republic before purchasing a plan.

Zwitchy provides a total of 26 plans for the Dominican Republic, split into 13 single‑country plans covering only the Dominican Republic and 13 multi‑country plans that include the Dominican Republic among other destinations. The plans vary in price from $7.50 to $185.00 and in data limits from 1 GB to 20 GB, with some offering a daily data cap while others provide a fixed data amount for the plan’s validity period. The validity ranges from 3 to 30 days and tethers are allowed with a reduced speed of 1000 mbps.
