I had a great experience using Esimzon Egypt eSIM. The data speed was fast and reliable, perfect for navigation and streaming and customer support is excellent specially Harry, recommend esimzon for anyone traveling to Egypt
trash took very long time to install and it has been 3g everywhere and only one carrier shown not 3 as they say
Connects to 4g of Orange, but speed is very low, more like 2g. Not worth the money
Was recently in Egpyt and had no issue with GoMoWorld. Also promocode worked. Recommended
The selected subscription with GoMobile is a disaster. I never got an connection to the internet. The abo was active, but even with etisalat by e& 4G, not with the slower etisalad by e& 3G, it was possible to write any whatsApp, email or check a website.
The last year, with a data package from our local provide i got everytime Internet with etisalat. I would never choose a subscription with goMobile again.
Catastrophic experience with this operator.
Several eSIM changes due to failures in data speeds. Service was limited to 3G with speeds not even reaching Edge levels. The operator’s response: Even if the local network allows 5G (which I confirmed on another line) and good speeds, everything depends on our (terrible) agreements. Nothing can be done.
Of course, the website advertised 5G or 4G for Egypt, which turned out to be false (from Luxor to Aswan, which was my route).
Horrible. I wasted hours providing evidence, having to start over each time with different representatives.
It doesn't work ! On 2 phones… data roaming on, travel sim active for the internet. I do not recommend Airhub. iOS
Used the 7 days unlimited (1GB daily + 512kbps afterwards) plan. Was connected to Orange. Speeds slow even with LTE/5G almost all day even after 24hrs period. Messaging speed was good, sharing photos was slow but possible. Often got SSL errors, can't use banking apps at some times. Instead for the same money I recommend to buy 1 day plan and then physical sim or esim directly from Vodafone.
Everything is fine in Egypt. I had an ADB authentication problem, but it was promptly resolved in the chat. Of course, I had to connect to another network to resolve it. Otherwise, everything is fine.
in the app they write that i can connect to etisalat and Vodafone networks and when i buy the esim it's only connect to orange network, and the customer service wasn't friendly and they didn't help, bad experience
Worked for 1 day then stopped working eventhough validity is for 7 days and only 1gb used when I bought a 2 gb plan.
Terrible !!! Slowest data speed ever . Nothing could load . All apps not even starting .Waste of money
I bought two esims and one of them doesn't work. I tried to contact support via chat or ticket but was ignored. Strongly not recommended.
Very bad. Got an unlimited daily plan but its actually not unlimited. Approach their support and they came back to say that its only unlimited for browsing, social networks and email with no limits.
There are over 100 providers and more than 3,600 prepaid data plans for Egypt, offering a wide variety of options that make it easy for travelers to find an eSIM that suits their needs.
Several eSIM providers offer unlimited data plans for Egypt. Firsty provides a free unlimited option with ads and a speed cap of 256 kbps, while Roamify, Yoho Mobile, Truely, and Yesim all offer unlimited data (with speed throttling on some packages) and support tethering. Prices for these plans vary widely, ranging from free to approximately $449, so travelers can choose a package that fits their desired duration and usage. Some providers set explicit speed limits—Yoho Mobile caps speed at 5 Mbps—where others simply note that speeds may be throttled, but typically remain sufficient for web browsing, streaming, and other typical mobile data activities.
Egypt's mobile telecommunications sector is served by four major Mobile Network Operators (MNOs):
Vodafone Egypt: A subsidiary of Vodafone Group Plc, offering extensive coverage and a wide array of services, including 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, and recently launched 5G networks.
Orange Egypt: Part of the Orange Group, providing comprehensive mobile services with a robust 4G network and newly introduced 5G capabilities.
Etisalat Misr: A subsidiary of Etisalat UAE, delivering a range of mobile services over 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, and newly launched 5G networks.
Telecom Egypt (WE): The state-owned operator offering mobile services across 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, and recently launched 5G networks.
These MNOs provide the primary infrastructure for mobile services in Egypt. While there are Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs) in the country, such as We Mobile, they operate by leasing access from these major carriers. It's important to note that most travel eSIMs rely on the infrastructure of MNOs rather than MVNOs.
Travel eSIM plans that phone number and SMS support are available for Egypt. The providers that offer such plans are GlobaleSIM and Roamify. GlobaleSIM’s Egypt‑targeted eSIMs use the dialing code +1, provide inbound and outbound voice calls, and allow inbound SMS, while Roamify’s offerings include both +1 and +33 dialing codes with inbound/outbound voice and SMS capability. Because the dialing codes differ from Egypt’s own code, the phone numbers supplied are foreign and not local Egyptian numbers.
The available plans range in price from about $4 for a 1GB, 7‑day package to around $105 for a 20GB, 365‑day package, and validity can span from 7 days up to a year. Users can rely on these services for regular voice communication and text messaging, though calls and texts will use the foreign dialing number rather than a native Egyptian number.
