Saily eSIM Data Plans for Iceland

Saily does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Iceland. The plans that carry the “UNLIMITED” name, such as Iceland UNLIMITED 5 days or Iceland UNLIMITED 30 days, actually give 5 GB per day and throttle the connection to 1000 kbps once that daily limit is reached.

Travelers who need more data can choose from Saily’s fixed‑data plans that offer larger allowances. For example, the Iceland 20 GB 30 days plan gives a 20 GB high‑speed allowance for a month, and the Europe 50 GB 90 days plan provides 50 GB for 90 days. These plans do not throttle speed after a daily limit and can be more cost‑effective for heavy data users.

Saily does not provide Iceland eSIM plans that include a phone number or SMS capability. Their Iceland offerings are only data‑only, so travelers cannot make or receive regular voice calls or text messages with a local number. However, you can use VoIP services such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection for calls and messaging. Keep in mind that some destinations restrict or block certain VoIP apps, so it is wise to confirm that the apps you depend on are accessible in Iceland before purchasing a plan.

Saily provides a total of 33 data plans for Iceland, split between 11 single‑country plans and 22 multi‑country plans. The plans range in price from roughly $4 to $160 USD and offer data allowances between 1 GB and 50 GB, with validity periods of 5 to 365 days. Some of the plans are fixed‑data bundles, while others charge a daily data cap.
