Simbye does not provide a truly unlimited high‑speed data eSIM for Japan. The plans that carry “Unlimited” in their name limit users to 2 GB per day, after which the speed drops to 1000 kbps.

Travelers who need more data can choose from fixed‑data plans such as the 50 GB plan valid for 180 days or the 20 GB and 10 GB plans that last 30 days. These plans offer a larger total data allowance and can be more cost effective for most travelers unless an extreme data usage is expected.

Simbye does not provide Japan eSIM plans that include a phone number or SMS capability; only data‑only plans are available. Travelers can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram or iMessage over the data connection, but some destinations may block or restrict specific apps, so it is advisable to verify that the apps a traveler relies on are accessible in Japan before purchasing a Simbye eSIM.

Simbye offers nine single‑country plans that cover Japan as well as five multi‑country plans in which Japan is included.
