AirPlans eSIM Data Plans for Mongolia

AirPlans does not provide a truly unlimited eSIM plan for Mongolia. All available options have a hard data cap – for example, the “Mongolia Unlimited 3‑Day (3GB/day)” plan only allows 3 GB per day, and after that the speed is reduced to 1000 kbps.

Travelers who need a large amount of high‑speed data can choose one of AirPlans’ fixed data plans. Two examples are the 30GB 30‑day plan and the 20GB 30‑day plan, both of which provide a fixed data allowance that must be used within the validity period but offer higher amounts of data than the daily “Unlimited” options. These fixed‑plan alternatives can be more cost‑effective unless the traveler anticipates very heavy usage beyond the specified data caps.

AirPlans does not offer a Mongolia eSIM that includes a phone number or SMS capability. The only eSIM plans available from AirPlans for Mongolia are data‑only plans, so travelers will need to rely on VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram or iMessage for voice and text communications. Using these apps will work over the data connection unless specific apps or services are blocked or restricted in Mongolia; it is advisable to confirm that the required VoIP services are accessible in that country before purchasing a plan.

AirPlans offers 19 single‑country data plans for Mongolia and no multi‑country plans. The catalog includes six daily data cap options that allow tethering and offer a reduced speed of 1000 Hz, and thirteen fixed data cap options. Prices across these plans range from roughly $4 to $70, with data caps spanning 500 MB to 30 GB and validity periods between 1 and 30 days.
