Nomad eSIM Data Plans for South Korea

Nomad does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for South Korea.
All of Nomad’s plans that use the word “unlimited” actually have a data cap – for example, the Regional APAC ‑ 5 Days ‑ unlimited plan offers 37.5 GB for 5 days and the Regional APAC ‑ 10 Days ‑ unlimited plan offers 75 GB for 10 days. Once the cap is reached, the plan’s speed is reduced.

If you need more data, Nomad offers fixed‑amount plans such as the Local South Korea ‑ 30 Days ‑ 50 GB plan for $39 USD or the Regional APAC ‑ 45 Days ‑ 50 GB plan for $72 USD. These provide a set amount of high‑speed data for the stated period and are generally more cost effective unless you are an exceptionally heavy data user.

Nomad does not provide eSIM plans that include a phone number or SMS capability for South Korea. All of Nomad’s South Korean eSIM offerings are data‑only, so travelers cannot make or receive traditional voice calls or SMS messages using the eSIM. For communication, users can rely on internet‑based applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage, which operate over the data connection and allow calls and messaging without a dedicated phone number.

Nomad currently offers ten single‑country data plans that cover South Korea and 27 multi‑country plans that include South Korea. The available plans range in price from $4.00 to $170.00 and in data cap from 1 GB to 75 GB, with validity periods spanning 3 to 365 days. Some plans provide a fixed amount of data for the entire validity, while others offer a daily data cap that resets each day. Certain plans also support tethering, allowing the data to be shared with other devices.
