RoamGo eSIM Data Plans for Taiwan

RoamGo does not provide a true unlimited data eSIM for Taiwan. Plans that carry “Unlimited” in the name, such as the Taiwan · Xie Xie · Unlimited – 15 days, give 3 GB of high‑speed data per day and throttle speed to 1 Mbps after that amount; other “Unlimited” plans similarly cap daily high‑speed data and then reduce speed.

Travelers looking for high‑volume coverage can instead choose a fixed data plan. For example, the Taiwan · Xie Xie · 20 GB – 30 days plan offers a 20 GB high‑speed allowance for 30 days, or the 3 GB/day plans available for 3–30 days. These fixed‑data plans avoid throttling and can be more cost‑effective unless the user is an extremely heavy data consumer.

RoamGo does not provide a Taiwan eSIM that includes a local phone number or SMS capability. The company’s Taiwan offer is strictly a data‑only plan, so outbound or inbound voice calls and text messages are not supported directly through the eSIM.

Travelers who need to communicate while in Taiwan can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection. However, some destinations may block or restrict access to these services, so it is advisable to confirm that the apps you rely on are available in Taiwan before purchasing a RoamGo plan.

For Taiwan, RoamGo offers 12 single‑country data plans and 104 multi‑country plans that cover the region. The plans span a price range from about $1.27 to $1, 015.20, while the data caps vary between 500 MB and 20 GB. Some plans use a fixed data amount for the entire validity period, whereas others cap the data usage on a daily basis, limiting the amount you can use each day during the plan’s duration.
