Functional, but slow. All data was routed through a Polish IP address which added significant latency. In particular, this meant that FaceTime Audio calls were often not usable.

I had a much better experience in the EU with this same provider.

Bitterness and frustration. I felt that when I arrived in the USA and realized I did NOT have the data I had previously purchased. I reached out to the 24-hour customer service (which isn’t really 24-hour because the responses come much later), and I wasn't offered tailored solutions, only standard and scripted replies.
I was so persistent because I was only connected to the airport's Wi-Fi, and eventually, they stopped replying to my queries.
Conclusion: Frustration, bitterness, and a waste of both time and money.
Very poor experience.
I decided to give it another shot by purchasing an eSIM in Maya, and I received data just minutes after purchasing. This debunked their argument that perhaps my iPhone 12 wasn't correctly set up for eSIM.

Customer service is inexistent.
Tried 3 times, not a single response. Very frustrating.
Voice service is patchy. Does not work on AT&T. Workaround is a voice over data solution for which you need a QR code that is delivered by customer service, if they exist.
So no voice :(

Non-functional. Tried to activate, spent five minutes with an "activating..." message, it finally stopped trying and didn't work. When I got internet access via other means, the chat support took > 10 mins to "look into it" before aksing me wy I hadn't contacted them in a timely fashion (which requires the internet access their non-functional esim did not give me). They have promised a refund, but who knows. Don't waste your time.

Buyer beware, this company is awful. Purchased the ‘Special’ eSim for several countries explicitly listed on their website. The eSim did not work, they are refusing to refund the money.

I found the service extremely slow to activate especially after topping up the service. I had to contact support for help because the service stopped working despite having topped up. In the meantime, I went with another provider and the activation was instant.

Also, upon first buying voice package, they don’t send you all the required information up front. For example, they only sent one number when I bought two and I had to ask support for the softphone configuration.

The service worked when it was set up but I won’t recommend Globalesim to anyone.

I purchased an esim from this site and added the Global SIM data plan with calling as an add-on.

After installing it in Japan, it connected at my travel destination. The data went through, but I could not make any calls.

I couldn't call a cab, and when I inquired after arriving at the hotel, I was told that there was a system problem and I couldn't make calls!
They replied that I could use sms.
But after all, I could not even use sms during my stay.

I asked for a refund through PayPal, and I was able to get it immediately.

If calls are important to you, be careful.
