Halo eSIM eSIM Data Plans for Austria

Halo eSIM does not provide a true unlimited data eSIM for Austria. The plans that carry “Unlimited” in the name actually grant 3 GB of high‑speed data per day. Once the daily allotment is used, the speed is reduced to 1000 kbps for the rest of that day, and the full speed restarts the following day. The plan validity ranges from 3 days to 30 days.

If unlimited data is required, travelers can instead choose one of Halo eSIM’s fixed data plans that offer a larger total allowance for a set validity period. For example, a 20 GB plan valid for 30 days costs $17.84 USD, and a 10 GB plan for 30 days costs $10.56 USD. These plans provide a hard data cap but remain available for the entire validity window, and may be more cost‑effective for users who need reliable high‑speed data throughout their stay in Austria.

Halo eSIM currently offers only data‑only eSIM plans for Austria, and no plans include a local phone number or SMS service. Travelers can use VoIP apps such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection for calls and messaging, but some destinations may block or restrict these services, so it is advisable to verify that the apps required for communication are accessible in Austria before purchasing.

Halo eSIM offers 12 single‑country plans and 16 multi‑country bundles that cover Austria, giving travelers a variety of options. Plan costs vary from about $2.63 to $82.62 USD, and data allocations range from 1 GB to 20 GB, allowing customers to choose short‑term, higher‑capacity options or multi‑country flexibility while traveling.
