Tourist eSIM eSIM Data Plans for Austria

Tourist eSIM does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Austria. All plans that carry “Unlimited” in the name have a hard high‑speed data cap that resets daily; for example, the Austria • Unlimited Data • 1 Day plan offers 2GB per day and after the allowance is used the speed is reduced to 2000 kbps, while the Austria • Unlimited Data • 3 Days plan gives 3GB per day and throttles to 1000 kbps once the daily limit is reached.

Instead, travelers can choose fixed data plans that give a larger, unthrottled allowance, such as the Austria • 100 GB • 30 days plan or the Austria • 100 GB • 180 days plan. These options provide high‑speed data without daily caps, and many users find them more cost‑effective unless they require extremely heavy usage.

Tourist eSIM does not provide any Austria eSIM plans that come with a dedicated phone number or SMS capability. The provider only offers data‑only plans for use in Austria. Travelers who need voice or text services can still use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram or iMessage over the eSIM data connection, but some destinations may block or restrict certain apps, so it is advisable to confirm that these services will work in Austria before purchasing.

Tourist eSIM offers a total of 18 single‑country plans that cover Austria. In addition, there are 208 multi‑country plans that include Austria among their destinations. Every plan uses a fixed data amount, while some items are capped on a daily basis – the fixed‑cap plans give a set data bundle over the whole validity period, whereas the daily‑cap plans reset the data allowance each day. The price spectrum ranges from about $1.86 to $426.78, and the data caps span from 1 GB up to 750 GB.
