“5GB of the 35GB in the year is for social media app. So you know the Hong Kong ISP is able to identify which app you are using.
What I find is that riding share App like Lyft (I didn't try uber) cannot connect to the internet under this esim. I tried it on both iphone and android phone, same issue. Once connected to VPN or airport wifi, the issue will be gone. I guess it's due to Riding share App like Uber/Lyft are illegal in Hongkong. Complained to Mobimatter about this issue. The customer service are quite difficult to follow my debug, give up.
The rest works OK, fastest speed is 4G but enough for me. The rest of internet service went well.”
“First use in EU was ok. Very disappointed this time: bought eSim for Canada but there is no service in northeast of Quebec.
Request a refund but MobiMatter charged $3 usd for processing fund - 30% of the purchase.
The reason: I did not read the fine print that MobiMatter network provider is Rogers and I did not verify that Rogers does not cover the area!!! That's the customers responsibility!!!
