Skratch eSIM Data Plans for Germany

Skratch does not provide any true unlimited data eSIM for Germany. All of its German plans have a hard data cap, either a daily allowance of 2GB per day that is followed by a speed reduction to 1000kbps, or a fixed high‑capacity bundle such as 10GB, 20GB, or 50GB for 30 days. While the plans are labeled “Unlimited, ” the cap is still applied, and the speed is throttled after the limit is reached.

Travelers looking for large amounts of high‑speed data can choose a fixed data plan, such as the Germany 50GB 30d, Germany 20GB 30d, or Germany 10GB 30d. These plans provide a large, non‑throttled data allowance for 30 days and are generally more cost‑effective for users who need substantial data usage but are not extremely heavy consumers.

Skratch does not offer any eSIM plan for Germany that includes a phone number or SMS capability. All available plans are data‑only, which means travelers cannot receive or send SMS via the eSIM or make calls that require a local number. However, VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage can usually be used over the data connection for voice and text communication. Travelers should verify that the apps they intend to use are accessible in Germany, as some destinations may block or restrict certain VoIP services.

Skratch currently offers 12 single‑country data plans for Germany, each limited to a fixed amount of data that ranges from 1 GB up to 50 GB. In addition, 12 multi‑country plans that include Germany are available, and they span the same data cap range. Prices across Skratch’s portfolio vary from $3.99 to $239.70, with validity periods between 3 and 30 days. Fixed‑data‑cap plans provide a set amount of data for the entire period, whereas daily‑data‑cap plans restrict the amount of data that can be used each day, allowing travelers to manage their consumption more precisely.
