Wiiline eSIM Data Plans for Germany

No, Wiiline does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Germany. The plans that list “Unlimited Data” give 2 GB per day of 4G/5G speed, after which traffic is throttled to 1 Mbps. Because of this daily cap the plans are not unlimited in the sense of unrestricted high‑speed data.

Travelers who need more data can instead choose a fixed‑data plan. For example, the Europe 46 Countries – 30‑day plan offers 100 GB for about $80, and the Europe 37 Countries – 180‑day plan also provides 100 GB for the same price. These plans give large data allowances without the daily speed reduction.

Wiiline does not offer an eSIM that includes a local phone number or SMS capability for travelers in Germany. The plans available from this provider are data‑only, so you will not receive a virtual line that can receive or make calls or texts. However, you can still use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram or iMessage over the data connection to make calls and send messages. Travelers should confirm that the apps they need to rely on are accessible in Germany before purchasing a Wiiline eSIM.

Wiiline offers 11 single‑country data plans that are solely valid for Germany and an additional 120 multi‑country plans that include Germany as one of the covered destinations. The single‑country options vary in price from about $2.00 to $160.00 and in data cap from roughly 490 MB up to 100 GB, with some plans featuring fixed data limits and others allowing daily data caps. The multi‑country packages follow the same overall price and data cap ranges, providing travelers with a wide selection of both fixed data and daily‑cap plans for use while in Germany.
