CloudOn eSIM eSIM Data Plans for Italy

CloudOn eSIM does not provide a truly unlimited high‑speed eSIM for Italy. The plans that use “Unlimited” in the name give 5GB/day (or 2GB/day for some international‑tied options) at full speed and, once that daily quota is exceeded, the speed drops to 1 Mbps.

If a traveler needs a larger fixed amount of data with no daily limit it can choose one of the fixed‑data plans, such as the 50GB for 30 days plan priced at $31.99 USD or the 20GB for 30 days plan priced at $14.99 USD, both of which keep the same speed throughout the validity period.

CloudOn eSIM does not offer a plan that provides a phone number or SMS capability for Italy. Travelers must rely on the data‑only eSIM options, which give access to 4G or 5G internet for the selected validity period. For voice calls and messages, popular VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage can be used over the data connection, though some destinations may block or restrict certain apps. Travelers should check whether the messaging or calling apps they need are accessible in Italy before purchasing a CloudOn eSIM plan.

CloudOn offers 12 single‑country data plans specifically for Italy and 24 multi‑country plans that include Italy. The available plans vary in price from roughly $3.49 to $126.99 and in data caps from 1 GB to 50 GB. Among the offerings, 20 plans feature a daily data cap while 16 provide a fixed data allowance.
