Gigapanda eSIM Data Plans for Italy

Gigapanda does not provide a truly unlimited high‑speed eSIM for Italy. All of its plans list a specific data cap – either a daily allowance of 3 GB (for European and Sicily selections) or 2 GB (for Global selections) – and once that limit is reached the connection is throttled to 384 kbps or 128 kbps. The plans that include “Unlimited” in their name simply describe the fact that speed is reduced rather than the data allowance being unlimited. For travelers who need more data, Gigapanda offers fixed‑data packages such as 30 GB or 50 GB for 30 days, which provide larger high‑speed allowances before throttling applies.

Gigapanda does not provide an Italy eSIM that includes a phone number or SMS capability. Only data‑only plans are available. Travelers can still use VoIP services such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage over the data connection, but they should verify that these apps are accessible in Italy before purchasing, as some destinations may block or restrict specific VoIP services.

Gigapanda lists 12 single‑country plans and 24 multi‑country plans for Italy. The available options span a price range from $6.90 to $94.90 and data caps between 2 GB and 50 GB, with validity periods from 3 to 30 days. Plans are divided into fixed‑data‑cap options, which provide a set amount of data for the entire period, and daily‑data‑cap options, where a specific data allowance is released each day. This gives travelers a range of choices depending on their consumption patterns and budget.
