Mi eSIM eSIM Data Plans for Italy

Mi eSIM does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Italy. All of its plans for Italy have a hard data cap, such as 1 GB per day for the “Unlimited”‑named bundles or 100 GB for a 30‑day period. After the cap is reached, the speed is reduced to 512 kbps, so the data is not unlimited.

Travelers who need more data can choose fixed‑data plans that offer larger allowances, for example the 100 GB eSIM Data for 30 days in Italy or the 50 GB eSIM Data for 30 days in Italy. These plans give a clear data limit and a set validity period, which can be more cost‑effective for heavy data users than the smaller daily bundles.

Mi eSIM does not provide an Italy eSIM plan that includes a phone number or SMS capability. Travelers who purchase a Mi eSIM for Italy will receive only a data‑only eSIM; calls and text messages must be made through VoIP or messaging apps that operate over the data connection. While popular VoIP services such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage are generally usable over the data link, some destinations may block or restrict access to specific apps or VoIP services, so users should confirm that the apps they rely on are accessible in Italy before buying a plan.

Mi eSIM provides 23 single‑country plans that cover only Italy and 47 multi‑country plans that include Italy, giving travelers a wide range of options. The plans come in both daily data‑cap and fixed data‑cap variants – 21 plans with a daily cap and 49 with a fixed data cap. Prices span from about $1.66 to $198.56, data limits range from 1 GB to 100 GB, and validity periods can be as short as one day and as long as 180 days.
