MTX Connect eSIM Data Plans for Italy

MTX Connect does not provide an unlimited‑data eSIM for Italy. The available plans for that destination are fixed‑data bundles, each capped at 10 GB or 10.11 GB and valid for 30 days. Examples include Italy 10GB, 10GB LOCAL (covering Italy and 44 other countries), 10 GB EU+ (Italy plus 35 European countries), and 10 GB (Italy plus 135 countries). These fixed data plans can be more cost‑effective than a pay‑as‑you‑go approach unless the traveler is an exceptionally heavy data user.

MTX Connect does not provide Italy eSIM plans that include a phone number or SMS capability. The available Italy eSIMs are data‑only, so travelers need to use VoIP apps such as WhatsApp, Telegram or iMessage over the data connection for voice and messaging. Users should verify that these apps work in Italy before buying a plan, as some destinations may block or restrict access.

MTX Connect offers a total of 17 distinct data plans for Italy, split into 5 single‑country plans that cover only Italy and 12 multi‑country plans that include Italy among several other destinations. The plans range in price from $2.03 to $34.60, with data caps between 1 GB and 10.11 GB and validity periods from 7 to 30 days. The single‑country options provide fixed data amounts exclusively for Italy, while the multi‑country plans bundle those same data amounts with coverage in other countries, allowing travelers to use the same data allocation across multiple destinations.
