nextSIM eSIM Data Plans for Italy

No, nextSIM does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Italy. All plans listed under the “Unlimited” name actually have a fixed high‑speed data allowance—such as 1 GB per day or 2 GB per day—with a throttled speed of 512 kbps or 2 Mbps applied once the threshold is reached. For travelers who need more data, nextSIM offers fixed data plans, for example the 100 GB 30‑day Standard plan or the 200 GB 365‑day Pro plan, which give several hundred gigabytes of high‑speed data for the specified validity period. These fixed plans can be more cost‑effective for users who anticipate large data usage.

NextSIM does not provide an eSIM for Italy that includes a phone number or SMS capability. The provider’s Italy plans are limited to data-only connectivity, without any telephony services.

Travelers who need to make calls or send messages can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection. However, some destinations may block or restrict access to these services, so it is advisable to confirm the availability of the apps you rely on in Italy before purchasing a plan.

nextSIM provides a range of plans for Italy that include 68 single‑country options and 137 multi‑country packages. The prices span from $1.52 to $1, 277.51, while the data caps vary from 1 GB to 200 GB. Plans are offered in two principal forms: fixed‑data cap plans, which deliver a set amount of data for the entire validity period, and daily‑data cap plans, which reset the data allowance each day within the chosen validity period.
