PRIeSIM eSIM Data Plans for Italy

PRIeSIM does not provide an unlimited‑data eSIM in Italy. The plans marked “Itali Unlimited” give 5GB per day at full speed; once that amount is reached, the speed is reduced and the validity period is only a few days. Travelers who need larger or longer‑term data allowances can choose a fixed‑data plan instead, such as the Europe Unlimited 100GB plan valid for 180 days or the Italy 20GB plan for 30 days. Fixed‑data plans are usually more cost‑effective for most users unless they expect extremely heavy data consumption.

PRIeSIM does not offer an Italy eSIM that includes a local phone number or SMS capability. All plans available from this provider for Italy are data‑only packages, so there is no way to place traditional voice calls or send SMS messages through the eSIM.

Travelers who need messaging or voice communication can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection, but the availability of these services can vary. It is advisable to confirm that the apps you rely on function in Italy before purchasing a data plan.

PRIeSIM provides 13 single‑country data plans that cover Italy alone and 40 multi‑country plans that include Italy within a broader region. The plans range from a few hundred megabytes up to 100 GB and are priced between roughly $1.14 and $236.61, with validity periods from a few days to a full year. Some plans feature a fixed data cap, giving a set amount of data for the entire validity period, while others implement a daily data cap, allowing a limited amount of data each day. These options, coupled with features such as tethering where applicable, give travelers a flexible range of choices for roaming data in Italy.
