Esimtrav eSIM Data Plans for Japan

Esimtrav does not provide a truly unlimited high‑speed data plan for Japan. All of their Japan eSIM options list a fixed data allowance, the largest being 20 GB on the “Japan Unlimited – 30 Days” plan, which also carries the misleading “Unlimited” label. After the 20 GB is used, the plan does not continue at full speed unless a reduced‑speed option is specified, and none of the listed plans include such a feature. Travelers who need a larger data budget can choose from fixed‑data plans such as 20 GB for $24.99 USD, 10 GB for $15.99 USD, or 5 GB for $11.99 USD, which are more straightforward and cost‑effective for typical usage patterns.

Esimtrav does not offer a Japan eSIM with a local phone number or SMS capability. The provider only supplies data‑only eSIM plans for Japan. Travelers can still use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage over the data connection for calls and messages.
