WonderConnect eSIM Data Plans for Japan

WonderConnect does not provide an unlimited data eSIM for Japan. All of its Japan‑specific plans have a hard data cap, with the largest offering 50GB for 30 days and the next tier offering 20GB for 30 days.

Travelers who need a large data allowance can choose one of WonderConnect’s fixed data plans. For example, the 50GB plan is priced at $30.55 USD and the 20GB plan at $15.99 USD, both valid for 30 days and available on 5G networks in Japan. These fixed plans can be more cost‑effective for most users, unless a traveler expects to consume data well beyond the capped amount.

WonderConnect does not provide eSIM plans that include a phone number or SMS capability for travelers to Japan. Only data‑only eSIM options are available from this provider for the country. Travelers who need voice or messaging can use popular VoIP services such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage over the data connection, but should verify that the apps they rely on are accessible in Japan before purchasing, as some destinations may block or restrict access to specific VoIP services.

WonderConnect offers 7 single‑country data plans and 10 multi‑country plans in Japan. Plan prices range from $3.49 to $134.99, with data caps between 1 GB and 50 GB and validity periods from 7 to 30 days. Some of the plans allow tethering.
