AirPlans eSIM Data Plans for Malta

AirPlans does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Malta. All of the plans listed for Malta have a specific data cap, such as 1 GB for a 1‑day plan or 3 GB per day for multi‑day plans. The “Unlimited” label in the plan names refers to a fixed‑data plan that offers a set amount of high‑speed data; once that amount is used, the speed is reduced to a lower rate.

If a larger data allowance is needed, AirPlans offers fixed data plans with higher limits. Examples include the Malta Unlimited 5‑day plan with 3 GB per day, the Malta Unlimited 10‑day plan with 3 GB per day, the Malta Unlimited 15‑day plan with 3 GB per day, the Europe Lite Premium Unlimited 5‑day plan with 30 GB, the Europe Lite Premium Unlimited 10‑day plan with 60 GB, and the Europe 100 GB 30‑day plan. These fixed‑data options can be more cost‑effective for travelers who require substantial data but do not need an unlimited data plan.

AirPlans does not provide a Malta eSIM that includes a local phone number or SMS capability; all of its Malta itineraries are data‑only plans. Travelers who need to make voice calls or send text messages can use VoIP services such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection. Some destinations may block or limit access to these apps, so it is advisable to confirm that the messaging or calling services you rely on work in Malta before purchasing a plan.

AirPlans offers 21 single‑country data plans and 94 multi‑country data plans that include coverage in Malta. The available plans vary from the cheapest $1.77 for 1 GB of data to the most expensive $289.94 for 100 GB. Some plans are fixed‑data, giving a set data amount for the validity period, while others are daily‑cap plans that allocate a certain amount of data each day. The overall data cap range across all AirPlans offerings spans from 1 GB to 100 GB.
