Astaroam eSIM Data Plans for Malta

Astaroam does not provide a true unlimited data eSIM for Malta. All of its plans for Malta have a hard data cap, such as the 20 GB 30 days plan or the 10 GB 30 days plan, and an “Unlimited” name is used only for plans that offer a fixed amount of high‑speed data with a reduced speed of 1000 kbps applied after the limit is reached. Travelers looking for a large data allowance can choose one of these fixed plans, which may be more cost effective than a pay‑as‑you‑go option for moderate usage.

Astaroam does not offer any Malta eSIM plans that include a local phone number or the ability to send or receive SMS. Only data‑only eSIM plans are available from the provider. Travelers who need to make calls or send messages can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram or iMessage over the data connection, but they should confirm that these apps are accessible in Malta before purchasing the plan.

Astaroam offers 13 single‑country plans and 31 multi‑country plans for Malta, making 44 plans in total. Single‑country plans cover only Malta, while multi‑country plans include Malta along with other destinations. Prices range from $0.93 to $24.81 and data caps range from 1 GB to 20 GB. Some plans provide a fixed data amount for the whole validity period, whereas others provide a daily data cap that resets each day; both types appear in the schedule. Many of the plans allow tethering, and speed may drop to 1000 after the first 30 minutes of use.
