EscapeSIM eSIM Data Plans for Malta

EscapeSIM does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Malta. The plans that carry the “Unlimited” label actually grant 1GB of high‑speed data each day; once that daily limit is reached, speeds are reduced to 10 Mbps until the next day. Therefore, these plans are not unlimited in the sense of offering unrestricted high‑speed data.

Travelers who need larger data allowances can choose from EscapeSIM’s fixed data plans. For example, the Malta 60GB plan is valid for 60 days, the EU36 Saver 50GB plan is valid for 30 days, and the EU36 Saver 30GB plan is also valid for 30 days. These fixed plans provide a larger amount of high‑speed data and may be more cost‑effective for users who consume a lot of data.

EscapeSIM does not provide Malta eSIM plans that include a phone number or SMS capability. The only available plans from this provider for Malta are data‑only eSIMs, meaning there is no inbound or outbound voice or text service included.

Travelers who need to make calls or send messages can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection. However, some destinations may block or restrict access to specific apps or VoIP services, so it is advisable to confirm that the services you rely on are available in Malta before purchasing a plan.

EscapeSIM offers 10 single‑country data plans for Malta and 38 multi‑country plans that include Malta. The single‑country options range in price from USD 1.49 to USD 181.59 and in data cap from 1 GB to 60 GB, with some plans providing a fixed data amount and others featuring a daily data cap. The multi‑country selections cover the same overall price and data ranges, and certain plans allow tethering while applying a reduced speed limit of 10 240 bps.
