Halo eSIM eSIM Data Plans for Malta

Halo eSIM does not provide a truly unlimited high‑speed data plan for Malta. The plans that carry the name “Unlimited” actually give 3 GB of data per day at full speed and, after that daily allowance is used, the speed is throttled to 1 Mbps for the remainder of the day.

Travelers can instead choose fixed‑data plans that offer larger total allowances, such as the Malta 20 GB / 30 days plan or the Malta 10 GB / 30 days plan, both of which provide the stated amount of high‑speed data for the full validity period. These options give a higher data budget than the “Unlimited” series while keeping the data rate consistent throughout the validity period.

Halo eSIM does not provide a Malta eSIM that includes a phone number or SMS capability. Only data‑only eSIM plans are offered for Malta.

Travelers can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage over the data connection for calls and messaging, but some destinations may block or restrict these services, so it is advisable to verify that the apps you rely on are accessible in Malta before purchasing.

Halo eSIM provides 12 single‑country plans and 16 multi‑country plans for Malta. The plans vary in price from $2.64 to $82.75, with data caps ranging between 1 GB and 20 GB, and validity periods of 3 to 30 days. Some plans have a daily data cap, limiting the amount of data you can use each day, while others offer a fixed data amount for the entire validity period.
