AirPlans eSIM Data Plans for Mexico

AirPlans does not provide a truly unlimited high‑speed data eSIM for Mexico. The plans that carry the word “Unlimited” in their names are fixed data plans that give a set amount of high‑speed data—for example, “Mexico Unlimited 10 Days (1GB/day)” lets the traveler use 10 GB over the 10‑day validity, and “Mexico 50GB 15 Days” offers 50 GB over 15 days. These plans have a hard data cap; after the allowance is used, the speed is throttled to a reduced rate. Travelers who need more data can choose larger fixed‑data options such as the 100 GB 30‑day plans, or they can top‑up using AirPlans’ pay‑as‑you‑go options instead of relying on an unlimited plan.

AirPlans does provide an eSIM that includes a phone number and SMS capability for travelers in Mexico. The available plans range from 1 GB of data for 7 days, priced at $13.01 USD, up to 5 GB of data for 60 days, priced at $49.45 USD. Each plan delivers a phone number with the dialing code +1, which is not a local Mexican number but is valid for international use; calls and messages can both be sent and received on the number. Voice is available inbound and outbound, and SMS is available inbound and outbound as well. Travelers wishing to confirm specific functionalities or inquire about local number options should contact AirPlans directly.

AirPlans provides 25 single‑country data plans and 100 multi‑country data plans for Mexico. The plans cover a price range from $2.22 to $451.47 and data caps from 500 MB to 100 GB, with validity periods between 1 and 90 days. AirPlans offers both fixed‑data‑cap plans and daily‑data‑cap plans—68 daily‑cap options and 57 fixed‑cap options—allowing customers to choose between a set amount of data for the entire validity or a daily data allowance. Some plans also support tethering and offer reduced speeds of 512 kbps, 1280 kbps, 1250 kbps, or 2050 kbps.
