Sim Local eSIM Data Plans for Mexico

Sim Local does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Mexico. The plans that carry “Unlimited” in their name actually give a daily data allowance of 5GB/day or 10GB/day; once that daily limit is reached the speed is reduced, so the data is not unlimited.

Travelers who need a larger, fixed amount of high‑speed data can choose from Sim Local’s fixed data plans. For example, a 20GB plan is available for 30 days, and a 100GB plan is available for 31 days. These fixed data plans offer a set amount of high‑speed data without a daily cap and can be more cost‑effective for most users unless they require very heavy data usage.

Sim Local does not offer eSIM plans for Mexico that include a phone number or SMS capability; only data‑only plans are available. Travelers can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection to make calls and send messages. Be aware that some destinations may block or restrict certain services, so it is advisable to confirm the accessibility of these apps in Mexico before purchasing a plan.

Sim Local provides 9 single‑country plans and 15 multi‑country plans for Mexico. Prices range from about $5.75 to $93.50 USD, with data caps between 1 GB and 100 GB and validity periods from 3 to 31 days. The catalog includes both daily‑data‑cap plans, which reset each day, and fixed‑data‑cap plans, which offer a set amount of data for the entire validity period.
