Mi eSIM eSIM Data Plans for Mexico

Mi eSIM does not provide a true unlimited‑data plan for Mexico. The plans that carry “Unlimited” in their name each offer a 1 GB data allowance per day; once that limit is reached the speed drops to 500 kbps. For travelers who need more data, Mi eSIM offers fixed data plans such as 50 GB for 30 days for $76.83 USD or 20 GB for 30 days for $35.25 USD, both of which can be topped up or extended if more capacity is required. These fixed data plans can be more cost‑effective for most users unless an extremely heavy data consumer needs a higher daily cap.

Mi eSIM does not provide an eSIM plan for Mexico that includes a phone number or SMS capability. Only data‑only plans are available. Travelers who need phone or text services can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection. However, some destinations may restrict access to these apps, so it is advisable to confirm that the desired apps work in Mexico before purchasing a plan.

Mi eSIM offers 13 single‑country plans and 41 multi‑country plans for Mexico. Plans are priced from about $4.50 up to roughly $209, with data caps ranging between 1 GB and 50 GB over validity periods of 1 to 30 days. Some plans use a daily data‑cap model, which limits the amount of data available each day, while others provide a fixed data quota that can be used over the entire validity period.
