Horrible. The service never worked. SIM never was able to register with a network. I tried troubleshooting for 2 days losing 2 or 3 hours talking with CS, they asked me to do several things nothing worked, they gave another Sim same thing. The CS was slow to respond and powerless, I escalated the ticket and nobody answer. I purchased a Sim from other company and worked great. Never again! Beware is a scam because I lost my $25!
Currently, over 80 travel eSIM brands offer service in Panama, with over 1900 prepaid data plans available. This represents a wide variety of options, making it easy for travelers to find an eSIM that suits their needs.
Several providers offer unlimited data eSIM plans for Panama, including Truely, Yoho Mobile, Yesim, and Roamify. These plans generally range in price from approximately $6 to $314, depending on the validity period and specific provider. It’s worth noting that some of these plans may have speed limitations or experience throttling, with Yoho Mobile specifically advertising a speed limit of 5Mbps. Travelers should review the details of each plan to understand any potential restrictions before making a selection.
Panama's mobile network infrastructure is primarily supported by two major Mobile Network Operators (MNOs):
Más Móvil (formerly +Movil): The largest network operator in Panama, offering extensive coverage, including rural areas and islands.
Tigo (formerly Movistar): Provides widespread LTE coverage throughout Panama, including in rural areas.
In addition to these MNOs, Panama hosts several Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs), which offer mobile services by leasing access from major carriers. For example, Digicel Panama operates as an MVNO, providing mobile voice and data services. However, it's important to note that most travel eSIMs rely on the infrastructure of MNOs rather than MVNOs.
