eSIMCard eSIM Data Plans for Portugal

eSIMCard does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Portugal. All plans that carry “Unlimited” in the name offer a fixed amount of high‑speed data—typically 1 GB per day or 2 GB per day for short‑term plans—after which the speed is throttled to 512kbps or 2000kbps. Because of this data cap, the plans are not unlimited in the sense of offering high‑speed data without limits.

Travelers who need more data can choose from eSIMCard’s fixed data plans. For example, a 20 GB plan valid for 31 days costs $14.35 USD, and a 500 GB plan for 90 days is priced at $119.64 USD. These plans provide a large amount of data and are often more cost‑effective for heavy data users than the short‑term “Unlimited” options.

eSIMCard does not provide a phone number or SMS service for Portugal; only data‑only eSIM plans are offered. Travelers can still make calls and send messages through VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage over the data connection, but they should verify that these services are accessible in Portugal before purchasing.

eSIMCard offers 31 single‑country data plans that cover Portugal, and it also has 184 multi‑country plans that include Portugal in their coverage. The plans are primarily split between fixed data caps—ranging from 1 GB up to 500 GB for validity periods between 1 and 180 days—and daily data cap options, where a set amount of data is allocated each day. In terms of pricing, the available plans span from roughly $1.39 up to $395.07, providing a broad range of data caps from 1 GB to 500 GB to suit different travel needs.
