Kolet eSIM Data Plans for Portugal

Kolet does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Portugal. The plans that carry the “UNLIMITED” name give 5GB per day at full speed; once that daily limit is reached the speed is reduced to 1024 kbps.

Travelers who need more data can choose fixed‑data plans such as the Portugal 20GB for 30 days or the Portugal 10GB for 30 days options, which offer larger data allowances without the speed throttling that applies to the “UNLIMITED” plans.

Kolet does not provide eSIM plans that include a local phone number or SMS capability for travelers in Portugal. The provider’s offerings for the country are limited to data-only eSIMs. Users who need voice or text communication can rely on VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection, but they should confirm that those services are accessible in Portugal before purchasing.

Kolet offers 13 single‑country plans that cover Portugal alone, and 31 multi‑country plans that include Portugal as part of a broader network. The price of these plans ranges from approximately $3.99 to $104.10, while data caps vary between 1 GB and 20 GB. Kolet’s catalog distinguishes between fixed‑data plans, which provide a set amount of data for the entire validity period, and daily‑data‑cap plans that allocate a specific amount of data each day during the validity window.
