Lumbus eSIM Data Plans for Portugal

Lumbus does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Portugal. The plans that carry the word “Unlimited” in their name give a fixed daily allowance of 3GB; once that amount is reached, the speed falls to a reduced rate of 1000 kbps, so the data capacity is still capped.

For travelers needing large data allowances, Lumbus offers fixed data plans such as Portugal 50GB 30Days for $42.99 USD, or Europe 35 Unlimited (3GB/day for up to 30 days) for $69.99 USD. These plans grant a set amount of high‑speed data that must be used within the specified validity window, and they can be more cost‑effective for most users unless they consume data at a very high rate.

Lumbus does not offer any eSIM plan for Portugal that includes a phone number or SMS capability. All of its Portugal eSIMs are data‑only, so travelers will not receive a local number or inbound or outbound SMS.

Users can still make voice and messaging connections over the data link by using VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage. However, some destinations may block or restrict certain apps, so travelers should verify that the services they rely on are accessible in Portugal before purchasing a Lumbus eSIM.

Lumbus offers 11 plans that cover only Portugal, while 56 multi‑country plans that include Portugal are also available. The plans vary between daily data‑cap options and fixed‑data‑cap options; daily plans provide a set amount of data for each day, whereas fixed plans give a total data allowance for the validity period. Overall, prices on the platform range from about $1.99 to $140.99 and data caps span from 1 GB to 100 GB, giving customers a wide selection of options for their travel needs.
