nextSIM eSIM Data Plans for Portugal

nextSIM does not currently provide a truly unlimited data eSIM plan for Portugal. Their plans that include “Unlimited” in the name actually offer a fixed amount of high‑speed data—typically 1 GB per day (or 2 GB per day for the “Plus” variants) before the network throttles speed to a lower level.

If you need more data, nextSIM sells larger fixed‑data plans that are also available for Portugal. For example, the eSIM Portugal 100GB 30Days Standard bundle gives 100 GB of high‑speed data for 30 days, and the eSIM Portugal Unlimited Plus 15Days Standard plan provides 2 GB each day for 15 days. These fixed data plans can be a more cost‑effective option for travelers who expect to use high‑speed data extensively.

nextSIM does not offer a Portugal eSIM that includes a local phone number or SMS capability. The available plans are data‑only, allowing high‑speed internet with no voice or text services tied to a number.

Travelers who need to make calls or send messages can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection. These services typically work in Portugal, but some destinations may block or restrict specific apps, so it is advisable to confirm that the applications you rely on are accessible before purchasing an eSIM.

NextSIM provides 190 separate data plans that include Portugal in their coverage.
These are divided into 53 single‑country (Portugal‑only) plans and 137 multi‑country plans (Portugal combined with other destinations).
The plans range in price from about $1.58 to $1, 277.51, with data caps between 1 GB and 100 GB, and validity periods from 1 day to 365 days.
Plans are available in two main types: fixed data‑cap plans that give a set amount of data usable for the entire validity period, and daily‑data‑cap plans that reset the data allowance each day.
